Lawn application


The application of mycorrhiza inoculum is indicated in soils where native mycorrhizal fungi are at a low level, or totally absent.

Mycorrhiza products are applied only once during the plant life cycle, at seeding or at transplant. Established plants can also be treated.

The earliest the mycorrhitza is established during the plant life cycle, the highest the benefits: application at seeding is preferred.

Mycorrhizal spores, such as those of Glomus intraradices, are particles of such a diameter (40-140 µm) that they will barely migrate into the soil. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the product in the vicinity of the roots. Application through irrigation is not recommended.

The inoculation process takes a few weeks to establish itself. During this period, it is advisable to fertilize only lightly (in particular not exceeding a phosphorous level of 30 ppm), to avoid the use of systemic fungicides, and to use substrate with low organic matter content.
The recommended minimal doses are sufficient to treat plants in normal conditions. Higher application rates will favour a faster and more intense mycorrhization.

The optimal soil temperature range is 20-28°C.

Endo-mycorrhizal fungi do not colonize brassicaceae (cabbage, etc.), conifers, and few other plant species. In case of doubt, please ask us.

General Use recommendations

Perennial Crops: Fruit Trees, Olive, Grapevine, Citrus,
                                 Tropical Fruits, Palm trees

To prepare strong and productive trees.

Nursery Application: Mix evenly 2%-4% v/v (20-40 cm3 or 6-12 g per litre) of
MYCOSYM TRI-TON® with the substrate.
Field Transplantation: Deposit MYCOSYM TRI-TON in each planting hole:
1.5 - 3 g (5 - 10 cm3) for root ball of 0.25 to 1 litre
3 - 6 g (10 - 20 cm3) for root ball of 1- 2.5 litre
6 - 10 g (20 - 33 cm3) for root ball of 2,5 - 5 litre
Established Plants: Dig small holes of 10-20 cm depth every 50-100 cm at the periphery of the root zone, or at a distance of 20-30 cm from the irrigation drippers.
Deposit 3 g (10 cm3) MYCOSYM TRI-TON in each hole, fill back with soil, water lightly.

Annual Crops: Horticulture, Ornamentals

The earlier a plant is fully mycorrhized, the better it will harness all symbiosis benefits.

Nursery Application:

Mix evenly 2%-4% v/v (20-40 cm3 or 6-12 g per litre) of

MYCOSYM TRI-TON with the substrate used for seed trays.

Use the higher concentration when nursery tray alveoles are small.

At transplanting: Deposit 0.5-1.5 g (2-5 cm3) of MYCOSYM TRI-TON into the planting hole before the transplantation,
and ensure contact between product and plant roots.
Use higher dose for large plants and for varieties known to be disease resistant.
Potted Plants: For small pots (up to 250 cm3): use pre-mixed substrate as for nursery operation.
For larger pots: Fill 2/3 of new pot with adequate soil or substrate; apply 1.5 g (5 cm3)MYCOSYM TRI-TON in a layer, and then finish with the normal procedure.
For already established potted plants:
Incorporate 1.5 to 3 g (5-10 cm3) MYCOSYM TRITON
at several points into the root zone. Dose depends on size of pot.

Turf: Lawns, Golf Courses, Sports Fields, Public Parks

To drastically reduce water and fertilizer consumption,

while maintaining a nice looking lawn.

At Sowing or Sodding Broadcast 15 g/m2 (50 cm3/m2) MYCOSYM TRI-TON or MYCOSYM Herba.
Incorporate into the upper soil layer at 2-3 cm (rotary tiller) before seeding or sodding.



After mechanically pinching holes in the ground or after use of a de-thatching machine,
broadcast 15 g/m2 (50 cm3/m2) MYCOSYM TRI-TON or MYCOSYM Herba.
Cover with sand and fill the holes.

Alternative: when using integrated machinery (e.g. “Dryject”), use MYCOSYM AdMix.

Environmental Projects

To establish a vegetation cover, or to establish trees in contaminated areas.
To improve biomass production in drought areas, also those with high salinity.
